Former Bad Boy artist G-Dep, whose real name is Trevell Coleman,36, walked into a police station and confessed to a 17 year old cold case, the murder of John Henkel on Oct. 19, 1993. Coleman, a career criminal, reportedly told cops that at age 17, while riding a bike he approached Henkel, who was 32, and attempted to rob him. Coleman explained that Henkel put up a struggle and attempted to grab Coleman’s gun but Coleman was able to gain control of the gun and then fired three shots to Henkel’s chest killing him.
The former Bad Boy artist was charged with murder and is currently being held without bail.
